Knock-knock. Who’s there? It’s The Book Of Mormon! Described by The New York Times as “the best musical of this century”, the nine-time Tony Award and four-time Olivier winning Best Musical comes from South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, and Bobby Lopez, co-writer of Avenue Q and Frozen.

This outrageously funny musical heads out on a mission to Dublin’s Bord Gáis Energy Theatre and departs on 3 May.

From A Low And Quiet Sea

Donal Ryan’s acclaimed Booker Prize-nominated novel, From A Low And Quiet Sea, gets adapted for the live stage in this limited run at Gaiety Theatre. Following four different characters all searching for their own answers from their unique lives, this story is told as a series of monologues, with each character slowly returning to add more of their tale.

Suspensful, engrossing and intimate, the show offers a number of perspectives into a number of issues prevalent in modern Ireland.

Star of Strictly Come Dancing, Nikita Kuzmin comes to Dublin with his first ever solo show, Midnight Dancer. Described as a modern-day Cinderella story, the show follows two star-crossed lovers, torn apart as soon as they have met. Will they reunite at the masked ball, or will real life put an end to their fairytale fantasy?

A fairytale ball like no other, Midnight Dancer features all of your favourite dance floor anthems, dazzling costumes and explosive dancing.

Direct from London’s West End, where every performance received a huge standing ovation, and a four-time smash-hit at the Edinburgh Fringe, Myra’s Story tells the incredible story of homeless alcoholic, Myra McLaughlin living rough on the streets of Dublin. Myra recalls her story to the audience while begging by Ha’penny Bridge, portraying all the larger-than-life Dublin characters in hilarious and heartbreaking fashion.

The show has been seen by over 150,000 theatregoers in Ireland, UK, USA and Canada. You’ll laugh with Myra. You’ll cry with Myra. What you’ll never do is forget her.

CS Lewis’s beloved classic comes to life on the stage of Bord Gáis Energy Theatre this May in a spectacular production that will bring awe and wonder to patrons of all ages. Join Lucy, Edmund, Susan and Peter as they as they wave goodbye to wartime Britain and embark on the most magical of adventures in the kingdom of Narnia.

The Telegraph calls it “A fantastical family treat” while The Guardian labels it a “spellbinding spectacle” with “exhilarating production… and perfect puppetry”.


CHORA by Luail

A rich and powerful expression of human connection woven together with music and dance.

CHORA is the first major production from Ireland’s all-island dance company, Luail. Drawing on the ancient Greek concept of ‘chora’ — a space that is both physical and abstract — this triple bill presents a vibrant exchange between dancers and musicians.

Luail’s captivating performance is paired with the Irish Chamber Orchestra, creating a seamless interplay of movement and sound.

Ian Shaw stars as his father, Robert Shaw on a chaotic voyage with young Hollywood hotshots Richard Dreyfuss and Roy Scheider that just might lead to cinematic magic… if it doesn’t sink them all.

Hailed as a “profound dive behind the scenes of the making of Jaws” by The Daily Telegraph, The Shark celebrates movie history and peeks at the choppy waters behind Hollywood’s first blockbuster.

Join Aedín Gormley as she brings her RTÉ Lyric FM show ‘Movies and Musicals’ to the live stage once more this May. Joining her to bring this special concert to life are the RTÉ Concert Orchestra led by conductor Stephen Bell. The dynamic live concert promises to deliver more of the radio show’s signature blend of music ranging from beloved Hollywood classics, modern film scores and popular Broadway hits.

‘Movies and Musicals’ has been a staple of RTÉ Lyric FM since it began in 1999 and has garnered international acclaim and a dedicated and enthuastic fanbase in its 26 years on air.

30 years ago, Matthew Bourne caused a stir with his audacious reinvention of Tchaikovsky’s masterpiece. Since that premiere, the show has become the most successful dance theatre production of all time and now, celebrating its Pearl Anniversary, Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake comes to Dublin for only 7 performances this May

Shattering convention, the production replaces the classic female corps-de-ballet with a menacing male ensemble in a thrilling, bold, witty and emotive event that defined its genre.


Murder Trial Tonight III

Vicar Street, Dublin | 20 May

Step into the drama as Murder Trial Tonight returns for a third season. Bringing true-crime stories to life, this unique theatrical experience places the audience in the role of the Jury. After witnessing a live murder trial, they must deliver their verdict – Guilty or Not Guilty?

The immersive experience begins on screen, detailing the background of the case before positioning the audience in the centre of a fast-paced murder trial and finally returning to the screen where the truth is revealed. One question remains – did you deliver the correct verdict?


L’elisir d’amore

A new production from the Irish National Opera, Donzietti’s L’elisir d’amore has all the ingredients of a perfect rom-com; a young man in love, a dubious elixir, heartache, and plenty of obstacles.

Nemorino, a peasant is entranced by the wealthy Adina and, in a last-ditch attempt to gain her affections, seeks out an elixir of love sold to him by the dubious Dr Dulcamara. This comedy is brought to life by star soprano Claudia Boyle as Adina and American tenor Duke Kim as Nemorino.

The smash-hit stage musical, presented in association with Tina Turner herself, tells the story of a small-town girl with a big voice overcoming obstacles of age, race and gender as she becomes a global icon.
