Riverdance

Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, Dublin | Until 5 July
An in-house Bord Gáis Energy Theatre production, this is an all-new take on OKLAHOMA!. The beloved musical has comes to life in a fresh and exciting way, powered by the very best of Irish creative talent.
This rootin’-tootin’, show-stoppin’ good time brings a vibrant new perspective to this classic while celebrating all the timeless songs you know and love, including ‘Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin’’, ‘I’m Just a Girl Who Can’t Say No’ and ‘People Will Say We’re in Love’. Running at Bord Gáis Energy Theatre until 5 July, this is your chance to see this re-imagining of the original groundbreaking musical.

Legally Blonde

Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, Dublin | 7 – 18 July
Elle Woods is on her way to Harvard and you do not want to miss it. Based on the Amanda Brown novel and 2001 film, Amber Davies takes up Reece Witherspoon’s iconic role as Elle ditches the sorority for the courtroom and enrolls at one of the world’s most prestigious law schools. Clad entirely in pink, she embarks on a journey of self-discovery and sisterhood.
Camp, energetic and oh-so-pink, this musical blends nostalgic and contemporary references to create a Legally Blonde experience that is both rewarding and fresh. Fawlty Towers: The Play

Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, Dublin | 28 July – 1 August
Trading the silver screen for the stage, the beloved Fawlty Towers returns more than 50 years since it originally aired. The show’s blend of slapstic action and humour translates perfectly to the stage placing you firmly in the middle of the farsical happenings in the hotel. Bringing all of the frantic energy audiences have come expect from the show, the cast of employees and hotel guests is led by Danny Bayne who steps effortlessly into John Cleese’s shoes as Basil.
Adapted by John Cleese himself, this brand-new Fawlty Towers story comes to Bord Gáis Energy Theatre from the end of July to the start of August, following a record-breaking West-End run.

The Bodyguard

Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, Dublin | 4 – 8 August
Another screen-to-stage translation, The Bodyguard is back at Bord Gáis Energy Theatre this August, having previously ran in 2023. This new production features a star-studded cast headed by international leading actor Sidonie Smith (Sister Act, Chicago, Jesus Christ Superstar) as Rachel Marron and Olivier Award nominated Adam Garcia (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Wicked, Coyote Ugly) as Frank Farmer.
A former Secret Service agent, Frank is called in to serve as superstar Marron’s bodyguard after threats are made against her. As the threat looms, the two personalities clash but slowly begin to fall for each other. And who can blame them when they’re being soundtracked by Whitney Houston’s music? The show features a whole host of irresistible classics including ‘Queen of the Night’, ‘I Have Nothing’, ‘Greatest Love Of All’, ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody’ and one of the greatest hit songs of all time – ‘I Will Always Love You’.

Annie

Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, Dublin | 11 – 16 August
Returning to the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, this Tony award-winning classic trades 1930’s New York for Dublin this August. Filled to the brim with iconic songs like ‘It’s The Hard-Knock Life’, ‘Easy Street’, ‘I Don’t Need Anything But You’ and ‘Tomorrow’, Annie continues to delight theatre-goers, both new fans and old, since the show opened on Broadway in 1977.
This new production stars La Voix in the role of Miss Hannigan, the matron of the orphanage Annie stays in. The timeless tale of a spirited orphan who finds happiness when she’s taken in by a billionaire rings as true today as it did when it was first shown. Who doesn’t dream of becoming a billionaire and having tea with FDR? Well, maybe not the latter, but if you’re dreaming of a show to entertain yourself, your family or your friends, I think you’re gonna like it at Annie.
Ballet de Santiago presents Swan Lake

Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, Dublin | 18 – 23 August
Tchaikowsky’s classic ballet is brought to life this August as Chile’s acclaimed Ballet de Santiago comes to Dublin to perform Swan Lake. The company showcases the legendary ballet in a way you’ve never seen before, bringing their own distinctively Latin American flair to the show for its Irish premiere. If you’re a ballet expert, this production will show off Swan Lake in a whole new light – enough to keep you on your toes. If you’re a newcomer to ballet, Ballet de Santiago’s Swan Lake is the perfect place to take the plunge.
Portraying the story of Prince Siegfried who falls in love with Odette, a woman cursed to live her life as a swan, the pair seek to prove that their love is stronger than any sorcery keeping them apart. The Ballet de Santiago showcases this tale to the fullest of its capabilities, aweing audiences with their opulent sets, sumptuous costumes, and unforgettable choreography.

Mean Girls

Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, Dublin | 25 August – 5 September
Get in loser, we’re going to the theatre! The theme of screen-to-stage adaptations continues as the 2004 smash-hit film starring Lindsey Lohan gets its theatre makeover this August. Rejuvenated for an era of smartphones and social media by writer Tina Fey, the story follows Cady as she enters North Shore High School and comes face to face with the Plastics – led by the universally feared Regina.
A triumph on the West End and the winner of Best New Musical at the 2025 WhatsOnStage Awards, Mean Girls now makes its Dublin debut. If you’re a fan of the original film, the 2024 film (based on the musical based on the film) or using the term ‘fetch’ unironically (or all three if you’re like us!), get your friends and get down to Bord Gáis Energy Theatre because you’re going to be obsessed with this one.
