Cruel Intentions: The ’90s Musical

Gaiety Theatre, Dublin | 1 – 5 April
Feeling nostalgic for some ‘90s pop classics? Based on the the cult classic film and bringing together the decade’s best tunes and unforgettable teen drama, Cruel Intentions visits Dublin for a limited run of five nights following previous sell-out runs in New York and London.
Head down memory lane with the ultimate ‘90s soundtrack featuring Britney Spears, Boyz II Men, Christina Aguilera, TLC, *NSYNC, Natalie Imbruglia, The Verve, and more!
The Book Of Mormon

Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, Dublin | 1 April – 3 May
Knock-knock. Who’s there? It’s The Book Of Mormon! Described by The New York Times as “the best musical of this century”, the nine-time Tony Award and four-time Olivier winning Best Musical comes from South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, and Bobby Lopez, co-writer of Avenue Q and Frozen.
This outrageously funny musical heads out on a mission to Dublin’s Bord Gáis Energy Theatre this April and May.
Dockers

Ambassador Theatre, Dublin | 8 – 12 April
Following a sell-out show at Liberty Hall last year, Dockers makes its return this April at Dublin’s Ambassador Theatre. A show focused on the history of the Dublin docks, Dockers features original songs from Damien Dempsey, Gary Brown, and The Rising Sons’ George Murphy, who stars alongside Tara Howley.
This show provides a musical history lesson of the powerful history and culture of Dublin Port through laughs, tears, and powerful ballads.
Death of a Salesman

Gaiety Theatre, Dublin | 15 – 19 April
Take the enthralling journey through the final 24 hours of Willy Loman’s life in Arthur Miller’s Tony Award, Critic’s Circle Award and Pulitzer Prize winning masterpiece. Led by acclaimed actor David Hayman (Sid and Nancy, Dad’s Army), the show explores ambition, delusion, and the realities of the ever-fading American Dream.
First exploding onto stages in 1949, this gripping tale remains as relevant and poignant as ever today.
The Examination

Ambassador Theatre, Dublin | 17 – 20 April
The Examination is the award-winning production by Brokentalkers exploring mental health and human rights in the prison system. It arrives at Ambassador Theatre following both national and international tours. This limited four-performance run is performed by Brokentalkers’ Gary Keegan and stand-up comedian and former prisoner Willa White.
The show is the outcome of a 12-month research period, drawing on historical research and testimony from current and former prisoners.
Philo

Gaiety Theatre, Dublin | 22 – 26 April
Award-winning playwright Peter Sheridan’s latest work, Philo follows the story of two women from very different backgrounds who find themselves crossing paths in a Dublin convent. Although polar opposites on the surface, Philo (Neilí Conroy) and Sister Rosaleen (Niamh McGrath) find they are more alike than first thought as they try to navigate each other and the adversity of the system.
This heart-warming drama is a poignant and sometimes hilarious view into social injustice and Dublin’s north inner-city, drawing from characters from Sheridan’s own upbringing.
From A Low and Quiet Street

Gaiety Theatre, Dublin | 29 April – 3 May
Donal Ryan’s acclaimed Booker Prize-nominated novel, From A Low And Quiet Sea, gets adapted for the live stage in this limited run at Gaiety Theatre. Following four different characters all searching for their own answers from their unique lives, this story is told as a series of monologues, with each character slowly returning to add more of their tale.
Suspensful, engrossing and intimate, the show offers a number of perspectives into a number issues prevalent in modern Ireland.
