Brian Friel’s semi-autobiographical classic comes to Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre for a summer run in association with Gate Theatre. This nostalgia-filled memoir depicts the lives of the five Mundy sisters as they tackle daily life in 1936 Donegal. Towing the line between bleak and nostalgic, the play presents the love and joy of the family’s summer, while a cloud of religious and economic uncertainty looms in the distance.

Directed by Caroline Byrne, this acclaimed production continues to resonate with audiences 35 years since its first performance.

Only Fools and Horses: The Musical

Only Fools and Horse: The Musical

Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, Dublin | Until 5 July

Take a trip back in time as one of Britain’s best-loved TV series trades the silver screen for the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre stage this July. Del Boy, Rodney and Grandad, played by comedy legend and show co-writer Paul Whitehouse, compress 22 years of stories into a two-hour romp that pays homage to all the greatest punchlines, gags and misunderstandings from all seven series and 16 specials.

Direct from a record-breaking four-year sold-out run in London’s West End, Only Fools and Horses: The Musical not only features an original score but also the beloved theme tune as you have never heard it before!

Anton Du Beke and Giovanni Pernice – Together Again

Anton and Giovanni

Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, Dublin | 6 July

The Strictly Come Dancing favourites waltz back into the ballroom with a brand new show that would make even Craig Revel Horwood crack a smile. Returning to Dublin’s Bord Gáis Energy Theatre after dazzling audiences last July, the pair are ‘Together Again’ to give you more dance, more fun, more song and even more entertainment than ever before!

The dancing double act will showcase a collection of breathtaking routines as they seamlessly blend Ballroom, Latin, and Musical Theatre.

Kinky Boots

Kinky Boots

Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, Dublin | 16 – 19 July

The Broadway and West End phenomenon struts back into Dublin this July with a star-studded cast headed by Johannes Radebe (Strictly Come Dancing) as Lola and Dan Partridge (Grease) as Charlie. As Charlie inherits a failing shoe factory, he strikes an unlikely partnership with local drag queen Lola as they produce high-heeled boots in an effort to save the business.

Set to GRAMMY-winning original music from Cyndi Lauper and based on a true story and hit movie, the musical swept up during awards season upon its release, including an Outer Critics Circle Award for ‘Outstanding New Broadway Musical’ and a season-high six Tony Awards, capped off with ‘Best Musical’.

Little Shop of Horrors

Little Shop Of Horrors

Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, Dublin | 25 July – 9 August

What would you do if a blood-thirsty plant promised you fame, fortune and love in exchange for keeping it well-fed? That’s the question posed to down-on-his-luck florist Seymour (David O’Reilly) in this horror-comedy spectacular. As Seymour and the flower shop’s notoriety grows, so too does Audrey II, becoming hungrier and more impatient. Will Seymour return to his former life before it’s too late?

After delighting theatregoers for over 30 years, this Broadway and Hollywood favourite is retold in an all-new Irish production for the very first time.

Mother Of All The Behans

Mother Of All The Behans

3Olympia Theatre, Dublin | 29 July – 2 August

Imelda May returns to the stage of 3Olympia Theatre in a one-woman performance that amazed audiences. For a third year running, she takes on the role of the storyteller, singer and rebel Kathleen Behan, recounting the histories of both Dublin and her own family. Featuring songs and stories handed down through generations, Imelda May transforms herself into the inspirational mother of Brendan Behan in a “triumphant” performance (HotPress).

Adapted for the stage by Peter Sheridan (Philo), who also directs, the play is based on the book of the same name, written by Brian Behan.
