Returning to the historic surroundings of Belfast’s iconic Custom House for 2022, CHSq brings a series of headline shows from international artists throughout August. With something for all ages and tastes, you can catch Madness, Simple Minds, Ben Nicky, Tom Grennan, Van Morrison, Stiff Little Fingers, Stereophonics, Paolo Nutini, and Ryan McMullan as well as some very special guests. Staying in Belfast now, Emerge is a brand new two-day multi-stage festival. The largest event of its kind in Ireland, combining the cutting edge of world-class international electronic artists, and a wealth of fantastic new talent coming out of the burgeoning Irish market. Headliners include Eric Prydz, Disclosure, Peggy Gou, and Patrick Topping. Belfast, 27 – 28 August

Wider than Pictures

Another first-time festival, Wider Than Pictures takes over the atmospheric location of the National Museum, Collins Barracks for four nights at the end of August. Don’t miss your chance to see Alt-J, Simply Red, Fleet Foxes, and the RTÉ Concert Orchestra performing the works of Thin Lizzy in the stunning surroundings. Dublin, 25 – 28 August

Electric Picnic

Electric Picnic needs no introduction, the biggest festival in Ireland with 70,000 in attendance. Those who were lucky enough to get themselves a ticket will be able to catch some of the biggest names in music along with some of the hottest newcomers.
