Check out some of the festivals and concert series you can catch across Ireland this May
Now that the clocks have gone forward and the brighter, longer evenings are finally here, we can start looking ahead to the summer months, and with those, upcoming festivals and concert series.
Coming up, fans can expect the first of the summer festivals, curated wellness programmes, line-ups of Irish and international acts, and family-friendly activities. Check out our list of festivals and concert series in May below.
Momentum Festival

Oranmore, Co. Galway | 1–4 May
Momentum Festival is a new independent live event in Oranmore, Co. Galway, taking place over the May Bank Holiday weekend.
The weekend will see performances from Irish rock icons, The Stunning and chart-topping band The Coronas. The festival will also see a sing-along like no other as The Big Day Out brings the 90s and 00s nostalgia from B*witched, D:Ream, Rednex, and Mark McCabe, all hosted by Fergal D’Arcy. Folk-metal band The Scratch headline the festival’s final day, joined by Cliffords and Madra Salach.
The Greenfields Festival

Ballykilcavan Estate, Stradbally Co Laois | 2–3 May
Also taking place over the May Bank Holiday weekend is The Greenfields Festival at Ballykilcavan Estate, Stradbally Co Laois.
The line-up showcases acts such as Block Rockin’ Beats, The Human League, Le Boom, The Fureys, and Vengaboys. Aslan, Grooveline, Róisín O, and David Geraghty are also set to take to the stage.
With a dedicated Kids Fest area, glamping options, and camping located in a secret walled garden, the Greenfields Festival is a weekend for the whole family to enjoy.
WellFest

IMMA, Royal Hospital Kilmainham, Dublin | 9–10 May
Europe’s largest outdoor fitness and wellness festival WellFest returns to Dublin on 9 and 10 May. Celebrating its 10-year anniversary this year on the grounds of IMMA, Royal Hospital Kilmainham, the two-day festival will showcase an exciting and diverse mix of wellness leaders, fitness icons, and cultural voices. Included in the programme is podcaster and mental health advocate Blindboy, boxing icon Kellie Harrington, TV fitness legend Mr Motivator, and fitness influencer Maeve Madden.
Festival-goers can also look forward to Zumba with Hermann Melo, Yoga Le Naoise, and the ever-popular Coppers The Workout.
The Road to the Great Escape

Various venues across Dublin | 11–12 May
The Road to the Great Escape showcases the best of rising Irish talent and some of the most exciting international newcomers. For two nights, the series takes over iconic Dublin venues Whelan’s, The Grand Social, and The Workman’s Club.
From an international perspective, this year’s festival will feature American singer-songwriter Em Beihold among others. Irish acts include power-pop act Babyrat and Dundalk rapper Reggie, who has quickly evolved into a compelling new force.
Eclectic Love Festival

Custom House Square, Belfast | 23 May
Eclectic Love 2026 – Belfast’s biggest club classics dance festival – is happening at Custom House Square on Saturday 23 May, featuring a huge line-up of legendary dance acts and DJs.
The line-up includes an array of brand new and legendary guests, including LASGO, Ian Van Dahl, Agnelli & Nelson, Tina Cousins, and more. Q Radio’s Gareth Woods and Downtown Radio’s Neal McClelland are hosts on the day.
Giddy Up! The Country Folk Brunch

Custom House Square, Belfast | 24 May
Roll up cowboys and cowgals! GIDDY UP! The Country Folk Brunch takes over Custom House Square in Belfast on 24 May for the biggest day of craic, song and dance this side of Nashville.
Featuring live shows from headliners Nathan Carter and The Highstool Prophets, the line-up also includes Claudia Buckley, Johnny Brady, the Daisy Jukes, and a selection of country and folk tribute acts.
St. Anne’s Park Concert Series

St. Anne’s Park, Dublin | 29 May–7 June
This May and June, St. Anne’s Park sees its much-loved annual concert series returning for six nights.
Kicking things off on 29 May is folk group Amble, who recently won the RTÉ Choice Music Prize Irish Song of the Year Award for their track ‘Schoolyard Days’. The following night, 30 May, sees pop-country sensation CMAT return home with her ‘It’s the Euro-Country Tour’, after selling out the 3Arena last December.
Rounding out the opening weekend, Northern Ireland legends Snow Patrol take to the stage on 31 May, promising a night of sing-alongs to their back catalogue of anthems.
Forbidden Fruit

IMMA, Royal Hospital Kilmainham | 30–31 May
Closing off the month and rolling us into the June Bank Holiday weekend is Dublin city-centre music festival Forbidden Fruit.
Taking place on the grounds of the Royal Hospital Kilmainham on Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 May 2026, the 14th edition of Forbidden Fruit brings the very best in electronic, hip hop and alternative music to five stages over the weekend.
The line-up includes Haitian-born, Montreal-based producer and DJ Kaytranada, Galway-born, London-based KETTAMA, and jungle and drum and bass artist Nia Archives. Additional acts on the line-up are soulful British singer-songwriter Joy Crookes, and Irish acts such as Bricknasty, Aby Coulibaly, and the Trinity Orchestra.
