John Carney, who came to see the show with Glen Hansard and the theatre and film producer Barbara Broccoli (one of the original producers of Once on Broadway, and producer of the James Bond films) said: “I filmed much of Once on  the streets around the Olympia Theatre. So to see it up on stage there now, in such a fantastic production as this, is so rewarding. I’ve seen the show in a lot of cities over the last few years, but seeing it in Dublin really completes the circle.”
