Mario Rosenstock celebrates 20 years of Gift Grub with a Live new show
20 years! Over 6000 sketches! 100s of characters! 1 voice! Mario is back with his biggest and boldest show to date.
Ireland’s most successful impressionist and satirist Mario Rosenstock celebrates twenty years of Gift Grub with a brand spanking new stage show running nationwide from February to April 2020.
Featuring the best sketches from the last twenty years plus bang up-to-date topical material, Mario will bring the very best of Gift Grub live on tour all over Ireland from February 2020.
Gift Grub first aired on 3 May 1999 on Today FM’s Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show. It is now the longest-running breakfast show in Irish radio history. In that time Gift Grub has become the benchmark for topical and wittily surreal comedy satire.
Its success has led to thirteen best-selling albums, half-a-million record sales and three hit TV series (The Mario Rosenstock show – RTE). Over 200,000 people have seen Mario perform his legendary one-man shows in venues across Ireland.
The Very Best Of Gift Grub Live will see Mario bring some of his favourites alter egos to life in his most interactive show ever. Featuring Miriam, Roy, Rog, Leo, Paschal, Bertie, Boris, Trump, the tinker Flatley, Joe Duffy, Davy Fitz, Marty Morrissey, Daithi and of course Mario’s peerless portrayal of president Michael D!
“This is the big one. This is going to be everything I do wrapped into one huge night. I can’t wait and I think people are going to love it.” says Mario.
