Review: Fall Out Boy at 3Arena on 1 October

Fall Out Boy brought their tour to Dublin for the first time last night. They were supported by rapper Professor Green who performed a series of hits including ‘Read All About It’. He received a brilliant response from the crowd and everyone was singing along.

Fall Out Boy came out on stage at 9pm and they played hit after hit until they closed the show at 10.30pm. The atmosphere was electric! The drummer sat at the back of the stage leaving the three remaining members, Pete, Patrick and Joe to sing and rock it out with their guitars at the front of the stage. The trio came out to the middle of the arena to sing two slower songs before
heading back to the stage to perform some more punchy, upbeat tracks.

The stage setting featured tables that the band members jumped on during the performance. They opened the show with one of their most well-known songs ‘Sugar, We’re Going Down.’ Most people in the arena were on their feet singing and dancing to the upbeat track. The band continuously pumped out hit after hit with barely a break in between. Flashing lights spun out on to the crowd during songs which added to the intensity and excitement of the performance.

Some of the hits they played included ‘Thanks For The Memories’, ‘Dance Dance’, ‘This Ain’t A Scene’, ‘American Beauty American Psycho’ and ‘Centuries’. They also sang ‘My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up)’ which featured in popular movie ‘Pitch Perfect 2’ this year.
