Ed Sheeran receives honorary doctorate from University Campus Suffolk
Yesterday Ed Sheeran returned home to receive an honorary degree for his “outstanding contribution to music“.
Ed grew up in Framlingham, Suffolk, where he quit school at the young age of 16 to focus on his singing career.
He was awarded an honorary doctorate from University Campus Suffolk (UCS) in Ipswich.
“I’ve had an amazing year… and this makes it even better,” he said.
Ed took to Twitter to share an image from this special day, writing, “I graduated today, I am now officially Dr. Sheeran“.
