‘Discover the Artist’ is our new blog series where we introduce you to artists you might not have heard of yet… but need to listen to.

Consisting of 4 members, Shobsy on vocals, Joe Regan on guitar, Paul Ridgeway on the drums and bassist, Noel Perry, State Lights formed at BIMM college in Dublin just over three years ago. Since then the group have gone from strength to strength with 2019 turning out to be a huge year for the act after concluding a hectic Summer period performing at some of Ireland’s biggest festivals including Electric Picnic & Kaleidoscope. They show no sign of slowing down in 2020 after releasing the songs ‘Tinseltown in the Rain’ and the infectious ‘Let You Go’ at the beginning of the year.

Style: The band have a potency for releasing radio ready, Pop/Rock ballads. They have an assured, clean sound that’s modern yet pulls heavy influence from pop and rock classics of yesteryear.
