We take a look at the achievements of some of the bad ass women of the music industry who are heading out on tour in 2019.

Known as the ‘Songbird Supreme’, not only is she known for her power house vocals but she is also an accomplished song writer, with writing credits on each of her 15 studio albums. Has won five Grammy’s, 10 American Music Awards, 19 World Music Awards and 14 Billboard Awards. She continues to inspire generations of new singers.
Ariana Grande
Ariana Grande has had a massive year, releasing 2 studio albums, getting her first number one for a solo track, breaking the record for most simultaneous top 40 Billboard Hot 100 hits by a female artist and passing out Selena Gomez as the most followed person on Instagram.
Christina Aguilera
Her first song ‘Reflection’, from the Disney movie Mulan peaked at number 19 on the Billboard and it was only up from there for Christina. In 2009 Rolling Stone’s magazine ranked her 58 of 100 greatest singers of all time, becoming the youngest and only one under 30 to make it on the list. As well as multiple hit singles, she has appeared in several films and is a UN ambassador for the World Food Programme.
Janelle Monae
A woman of many talents Janelle Monae has been nominated for 8 Grammy’s, appeared in the Oscar Nominated film Hidden Figures and in 2018 received the Billboard Trailblazer Award, which is reserved for female artists who acts as a music industry pioneer by using her platform to highlight unheard voices and break ground for future generations of performers.

Ambassador for bad ass women everywhere, P!nk has been singing a tune for all thing equal and right in the world from the start of her career. She’s sold over 90 million records worldwide, received 3 Grammy’s and 2 Brit awards and at the 63rd annual BMI Pop Awards, she received the BMI President’s Award for “her outstanding achievement in songwriting and global impact on pop culture and the entertainment industry.
Lana Del Rey
She shot to fame with her viral sensation Video Games in 2011. Since then she has had two number one top 200 billboard chart albums and two top ten albums. She has received multiple Grammy Award nominations and is also the recipient of the Billboard Trailblazer award.

Her first album, Pink Friday, peaked at number 1 and was certified triple platinum. Not only is she one of the most most influential female rap artist of all time, she is also one of the best selling artists, not only from her own releases but also from collaborations with other artists.
