Critically acclaimed worldwide including New York & London, The Kings of the Kilburn High Road, written by Jimmy Murphy & Directed by Padraic McIntyre, opens at the Gaiety Theatre on Tuesday 1 November until Saturday 12 November 2016.

Starring Phelim Drew (Once, My Left Foot, Playboy of the Western World), Malcolm Adams (Alone It Stands, Stones In His Pockets), Arthur Riordan (Writer of The Train & Rap Eire with Des Bishop), Seamus O’Rourke (Ride On!, Beauty Queen of Leenane) and Charlie Bonner (Dancing at Lughnasa, RTE’s Rebellion).

The Kings of the Kilburn High Road tells the story of group of young men who leave 1970s Ireland in the hope of making their fortunes in England. Twenty-five years later only one, Jackie Flavin, makes it home, but does so in a coffin.  When the five Irish friends gather in the side room of a London pub for an informal wake – they drink to the memory of a lost friend. Secrets are revealed and lies are uncovered as they journey through their lives as they dream of their place in a new Ireland.
