Tilt #40 Line Up Announced
Tilt #40 takes place at Button Factory on Monday 20 April 2026 featuring three hotly tipped Irish acts - BABYRAT, Maicín, and Avenue 68.
Tilt is a free monthly music showcase event held in The Button Factory curated by John Barker and produced by Cormac Bennett and The Sound Training College. The aim of the live events is to highlight the best in Irish music talent while also providing training for students pursuing a career in the live music industry.
The showcase event was founded in October 2019 and has been ever-present in The Button Factory. It’s the longest running regular ‘full band’ music showcase event in Dublin. Over 100 acts have performed at Tilt since 2019 including Sprints, Tebi Rex, Gurriers, Curtisy, Tolü Makay, Yankari, Shiv, Tebi Rex and Annie-Dog.

BABYRAT
BABYRAT are one of the most talked about up-and-coming Irish acts of the last few months. Hailing from Cork, the four-piece formed in late 2024. Over the last 15 months the band have earned a big reputation for being an energetic and infectious live act. They recently performed at Whelan’s Ones To Watch and supported Thumper in The Academy. They just sold out at a headline show in Savoy (Cork) and have already been announced to perform at this summer’s All Together Now Festival. They will bring the fun to Tilt #40 in The Button Factory.
Maicín
Maicín are also from Cork and also formed in 2024. They’re a five-piece indie-pop band who specialise in elements of surf-rock, jangle-pop, folk and new-wave. They’ve released seven singles so far – each one showcasing their talent for songwriting and ability to sound unique and different. They’ve been announced as one of the early acts for Beyond The Pale and will be touring with Madra Salach in March and April.
Avenue 68
Avenue 68 are an exciting new five-piece R&B soul act from Dublin. Forming in 2024 the band have gained a reputation for their blend of jazz, funk and soul influences. In 2025 Avenue 68 performed at the likes of All Together Now, Electric Picnic and Forbidden Fruit. Last November they supported Joy Crookes in The Olympia Theatre and sold out a show in Whelan’s in February of this year.
Admission to Tilt #40 is free, with doors opening at 7:30pm. This is an over 18s event. Free tickets can be reserved at Ticketmaster.ie/Tilt and on the Universe platform.
