The Knitting and Stitching Show is Ireland’s Craft Event of The Year!
The Knitting and Stitching Show is the perfect event for anyone with a love of stitch and crafts, supplies, workshops and textile art. The Knitting and Stitching shows were first established 20 years ago. This is the largest and most highly regarded craft event in Ireland.
The event will feature galleries with work from DAMSS Fiberart, Design & Crafts Council Of Ireland, National College of Art and Design, Royal School of Needlework, Kate Jenkins, Belfast School of Art and many more.
The event will feature sewing machine classes as well as workshops in beadwork, crochet, cross stitch, dressmaking, embroidery, feltmaking, home furnishing, knitting, lacemaking, patchwork & quilting, tapestry, weaving, spinning and dyeing.
‘Just Knitting’ with Liz Spillane is a free interactive experience of knitting in its many forms. Visitors will be shown how to hand knit in unconventional forms, for example, with no needles, multiple needles, toothpicks, broom handles and wooden peg frames! They will also be shown how to machine knit chunky yarns and also add a drawing to the graphics programming on an electronic knitting machine using the DesignaKnit system. Liz is passionate about knitting and eager to share ideas and inspirations.
Don’t forget to sample the first all knitted fish counter!
The Knitting and Stitching Show takes place at the RDS, Dublin from 12-15 November. Get your tickets here!
