Once The Musical Dublin – Live performance on Grafton Street, Dublin

This will happen only Once

It started out as any other lunchtime on a sunny Thursday afternoon on Dublin’s Grafton Street. We could hear the hustle and bustle of lunchtime shoppers sound-tracked by the ever eclectic tunes of the Grafton Street buskers. Then a crowd started to gather outside our office and we knew we had to go outside and investigate further (camera phones at the ready).

The cast of Once The Musical – Dublin, actor-musicians, who sing, dance and play their hearts out live on stage, were doing a live performance. We got to witness Tom Parsons, who plays Guy, Megan Riordan, who plays Girl and a host of other cast members delighting us with their musical adeptness. It was simply magical.

In the show the 12 actors play 30 instruments during each performance, including guitar, cajon, melodica, harmonica, piano, violin, castanets, bass guitar, ukulele, mandolin, banjo, tambourine, drums, accordion and cello. We were lucky enough to get a taste of this today.

After seeing this we were sold and went back to the office to book our tickets before it sells out!

Once The Musical – Dublin previews from 4 July – opening Tuesday 14 July – running to 22 August 2015 at Olympia Theatre, Dublin. You can get your tickets here. #OnceinDublin
