Janet Jackson’s new album debuts at No.1 on Billboard 200 Chart
Janet Jackson debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart with her new album, Unbreakable. It marks her seventh chart-topper and makes her just the third act to achieve No. 1 albums in each of the last four decades.
The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums and streaming equivalent albums. The new October 24-dated chart (where Janet is No. 1) was posted in full to Billboard’s Web site yesterday (13 October).
Unbreakable was released on 2 October.
Unbreakable is Jackson’s first studio album since 2008’s Discipline, which also debuted at No. 1. Jackson previously led the list with All For You (2001), The Velvet Rope (1997), janet. (1993), Janet Jackson’s Rhythm Nation 1814 (1989) and Control (1986).
Janet Jackson has added a Dublin date to the highly anticipated European leg of her international tour. The Unbreakable Tour comes to 3Arena, Dublin on 2 April 2016.
Tickets go on sale this Friday, 16 October at 09:00.
