Irish festivals happening in June
Summer is just around the corner...
It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and NO we’re not talking about Christmas, it’s festival season! So clean those wellies, grab those bucket hats and get ready to party into the heat of the night. Check out all of the fantastic festivals happening in June below…
Sea Sessions
Bundoran Beach | Donegal | 20 – 23 June 2024
Ireland’s premier surf and music festival makes a return to the breathtaking backdrop of Bundoran Beach. There’s oceans of talent on display this year, with a variety of Irish and international acts set to perform.
Friday sees blk., Jazzy, Route 94 and more hit the stage. Cian Ducrot will make a splash on Saturday 22 June along with Fionn Curran, Kingfishr, Jerry Fish and others. Finally, on Sunday 23 June it’s the turn of Johnny Marr, Jake Bugg, Daire and lots more.
Kaleidoscope
Russborough House | Co. Wicklow | 28 – 30 June 2024
Get ready for some family fun in the sun as Ireland’s favourite family festival returns to Wicklows Russbourough House.
This year’s performer list boasts a bunch of household names, including The Kooks, The Waterboys, Dec Pierce’s Block Rockin Beats and Lyra amongst others. Music isn’t the only medium of enjoyment, expect a whole host of family activities such as crafts, funfair rides, magic shows and more.
Longitude
Marlay Park | Dublin | 29 – 30 June 2024
Marlay Park is no stranger to housing superstars and that trend continues when Longitude Festival opens its gates this year.
Saturday 29 June sees British chart-toppers Central Cee and Becky Hill headlining. On Sunday 30 June, it’s the turn of the Americans as US hip-hop heavyweights Doja Cat and 21 Savage set fire to the stage. Other acts playing across the weekend include Belters Only, blk., Joel Corry, D-Block Europe and a tonne more.
Punchestown Music Festival
Punchestown Racecourse | Co. Kildare | 1 – 2 June 2024
Two dance music thoroughbreds, MK & Belters Only will have people racing to the stage at Punchestown this June.
MK is first out of the traps on Saturday 1 June with special guests Dom Dolla, New Era, Connor Coates and Jen Payne. Irish upstarts Belters Only bring things to a close with a bang on Sunday 2 June alongside Obskür, Route 94 and Jazzy.
Forbidden Fruit
Royal Hospital Kilmainham | Dublin | 1 – 2 June 2024
The sweet taste of Forbidden Fruit returns to Dublin’s Royal Hospital Kilmainham, once again on the June bank holiday weekend.
Dance duo Bicep flex their musical muscles on Saturday along with Groove Armada, Nia Archives, Freddie Gibbs and plenty more. The iconic Nelly Furtado makes a long awaited return to Ireland on the Sunday with other performers including Four Tet, Barry Can’t Swim and more.
In The Meadows
Royal Hospital Kilmainham | Dublin | 8 June 2024
We have a new kid on the block this year! In The Meadows makes it’s festival debut on the grounds of the Irish Museum Of Modern Art.
This brand-new one-day event, headlined and co-curated by LANKUM, has one of the most imaginative line-ups of any festival on the scene, making IMMA the perfect canvas for the artists performing. Joining the Dublin-based band on the bill this year are Mogwai, Black Country, New Road, Mercury Rev, John Francis Flynn and many more.
