Farewell tours coming to Ireland
Cue the Andrea Bocelli music (he’s not on this list) because it’s time to say goodbye
There’ll be no Irish goodbyes happening on these shores, though. These artists are ready to give Irish fans a farewell they’ll never forget. Here are the farewell tours coming to Ireland in the very near future.
Rod Stewart

My dear friends, The time has come to say farewell to life on the road. After more than six decades, The Final Encore will most definitely be my last
Sir Rod Stewart
We know he’s said goodbye to Baby Jane so many times, but now, after almost half a century of performing, Sir Rod is finally saying so long to the live stage. Consistently ranked among the highest-grossing touring artists in the world, Rod is on a final mission to prove that blondes still have more fun. The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer takes ‘The Final Encore’ tour to Dublin and Belfast in April 2027.
Megadeth

2026 has been quite the year for the thrash metal titans. With the release of their self-titled album, the band claimed their first-ever No.1 release on the charts, a poetic and fitting end to their acclaimed studio life. Now, with 2027 on the horizon, Megadeth are ready to check out of the live circuit with an almighty bang.
The European & UK leg of the global farewell tour, ‘Breakout: Hibernation Of The Nations’, kicks off at The O2 Belfast in March 2027. Fans can expect a performance packed with their favourite songs spanning all eras of the group’s glittering career.
Don McLean

Legendary folk troubadour Don McLean is serving one last slice of American Pie before he sails off into the sunset. The Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee enters his final career chapter in 2027 with ‘The Farewell Tour’ coming to 3Arena on Friday 14 May. Dublin holds a special place in the story of the great man, with the most pristine surviving film of his early years coming in the form of RTÉ’s recording of his National Stadium concert in December 1975.
Ministry

Industrial trailblazer Al Jourgensen will take his musical project to Europe for the very last time. Along with the tour announcement, Jourgenson has confirmed a final Ministry album, ‘Hate to Go (Take Out or Delivery)’, set for release in October 2026. Irish fans will hate to see Ministry go, but they’ll get one last chance to say goodbye when the live show stops off at 3Olympia Theatre in April 2027.
Kodaline

The 3Arena has always been a special place for us and with our final album also coming out in October, it feels like the right time to celebrate the songs, the memories and everything we’ve shared together over the years. It’s going to be a very special and emotional night, hope to see you there.
Kodaline
They once sang ‘Everything Works Out In The End’, and now, after 14 years under the Kodaline banner, the band have finally reached that end point. One of the most popular Irish bands of the modern era might be calling it quits, but not before one final flurry. Along with the release of a brand-new album, the chart-topping collective are hitting the stage at 3Arena to bid adieu in front of a hometown crowd this December.
Philomena Begley & Ray Lynam

Two true icons of country music are coming together for one last hurrah before they call it a day. Stalwarts of the scene, Philomena Begley and Ray Lynam have packed out venues from Thurles to Tennessee and will now close out their glittering careers with shows dubbed ‘the farewell party’. Fans can join in on the celebrations at Killarney’s Gleneagle Arena and Dublin’s Vicar Street in August and September of 2027.
Not ready to say goodbye just yet? Check out our last chance guide. It might not be the final time you’ll ever see these acts, but it could be your last chance to catch them in your city this year.
