ABBA Mania Hits Ireland

As the Swedish legends reform, Irish fans have plenty of ABBA themed shows to keep them occupied over the coming months.

Dancing Queens across the world rejoiced when ABBA recently announced their first new music in almost 40 years, as well as a futuristic stage show, but more on that later. With a musical legacy that goes On And On And On, fans in Ireland will be dancing once again with a variety of ABBA themed shows coming over the coming months.

ABBAesque

ABBAesque are Ireland’s foremost ABBA tribute band. They’re Super Troupers who have been selling out shows for over 21 years. They bring their highly successful live show to the Gleneagle INEC Arena Killarney, Co Kerry on 30 October 2021.

Björn Again

The Björn Again show was created and founded in 1988 in Melbourne by Rod Stephen. Designed as a rocked-up light-hearted satirical ABBA spoof, the show rapidly achieved worldwide cult status. They’re also acknowledged with initiating the ABBA revival which brought about ABBA Gold, Muriel’s Wedding and MAMMA MIA! They’ve announced a headline show at 3Olympia Theatre, Dublin on 17 December 2021 and my, my how can you resist them?

ABBA Starring The Björn Identity

Based in Belfast, The Björn Identity is an international and critically acclaimed live ABBA Tribute recently voted the No.1 Tribute show in Ireland, as well as being one of the finest ABBA tribute shows this side of Sweden. They’ll be The Visitors in venues across Northern Ireland from December to January.

ABBA Orchestral

ABBA Orchestral is a fully live production of ABBA’s Greatest Hits, old and new, featuring the Waterloo Concert Orchestra. Expect a variety of ABBA’s unforgettable costumes, audience interaction, stunning stage graphics and big screen karaoke for the greatest ABBA party Europe has ever seen. You can dance, you can jive, you will have the time of your life when they come to Dublin’s 3Arena on Saturday 12 February 2022.

ABBA Voyage

If you’re still screaming Gimme, Gimme Gimme, after all the previously mentioned events, why not take a trip to London to the purposely built ABBA Arena? Here Benny Andersson, Agnetha Fältskog, Anni-Frid Lyngstad and Björn Ulvaeus return for a concert that’s been 40 years in the making. ABBA Voyage blurs the lines of reality, the magic of ABBA’s past is being brought into the present with the latest motion capture technology. Audiences can say Thank You For The Music as they see the band as they were from 1979 with a virtual performance accompanied by a live 10-piece band. ABBA Voyage opens from 27 May 2022.
