Bringing Northern Ireland’s biggest Christmas pantomime, SSE Airtricity, The SSE Arena, Belfast and M & J Pantos have joined forces to for THE SPECTACULAR ALADDIN, starring Rhydian, Jake Carter, Nadia Forde, Nuala McKeever and Ross Anderson-Doherty.

Take a journey to Old Peking and meet old Widow Twanky and her poor son Aladdin. Times are tough but Aladdin’s life is dramatically changed when he falls in love with the most beautiful woman in the Kingdom, the Princess Jasmine. Enter the most evil baddie in the Kingdom, Abanazer. Will the evil Abanazer destroy Aladdin’s dreams to get rich and marry the Princess? Will the Genie ever get his freedom? Will you and your family have the best time of Christmas 2017? There’s only one way to find out …

Meet some of the Cast

Rhydian is a double platinum selling recording artist, musical theatre actor and TV presenter. Rhydian has sold in excess of a million albums world-wide, he was the runaway star of Simon Cowell’s ‘The X Factor’ show casing his incredible vocal range and show stopping performances. Rhydian has just completed his 4th UK sell out solo tour and is a Classical Brit Award nominee.

Jake Carter is the younger brother of chart topping country music artist Nathan Carter. Aged just 19, Jake has up until recently been gigging relentlessly in the UK and Ireland as a ‘one man’ band playing in pubs, clubs and private events to gain the experience and confidence required to follow in his brothers’ footsteps and become a music sensation in his own right. Jake has been wowing audiences with his live performances and is et to bring his career to a whole new level next year with the release of his debut album.

Having started modelling and performing at just 7 years old, Nadia has since become one of the country’s top models and television personalities. Nadia took part in ITV’s ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here’ and was a contestant on Celebrity Masterchef.

Chris is a Panto regular however he is excited for the fresh challenge of being a goodie in this year’s Aladdin. Chris also works as a presenter and got to travel the world as MC for the Volvo Ocean Race. He presents the Big Top stage at Carfest for BBC Children in Need every year and hosts various other corporate awards, festivals and live events.

Ross is an actor, singer and theatre maker from Belfast. When not in Pantoland Ross is the creative director of The Cabaret Supper Club, Belfast where he is often to be found belting out some tunes and telling silly stories.

Naomi TV and film credits include ‘Give my Head Peace’ 2016 special episode, ‘Game of Thrones’, ‘Man, Woman, Love’ by Foundry Films, ‘Muirgheilt’ by Alleycats Films, and she was the face of the 2016 ‘DEO Drink Driving’ advert.

Nuala first came to the public attention in the award-winning ‘Give my Head Peace’ and her own comedy series McKeever which ran for three year on UTV. Since then, Nuala has written five plays, one of which, In The Window, has played to sell-out audiences, gained five star reviews and wowed audiences from NI to Mumbai and the USA.

Christina is a highly acclaimed local actress, director, writer and workshop facilitator, with over 25 years’ experience. She developed for Cahoots NI a home visits project which has been touring devised especially for Northern Ireland Cancer fund for Children and the Magic Medicine project for special schools and rest bite care units.

For over 30 years, Belfast actor Marty Maguire has spilt his career between Ireland and the UK and the US. His most recent theatre work includes the role of Malachy in the World premiere of Angela’s Ashes The Musical. For his performance in Marie Jones’ ‘A Night In November’ he won the Los Angeles Drama Critics Best Actor. He is an established voice over artist and is the voice of ‘The Rifleman’ and various other characters in ‘The World of Warcraft.’
