Bloom has returned to The Phoenix Park and is celebrating its 10th birthday this year. The 5 day event runs over the June Bank Holiday over what promises to be a warm and sunny weekend.
With all sorts of exhibitions and events taking place, there literally is something for everyone at Bloom 2016.
Green fingers? Large displays from over 40 top nurseries in Ireland bring the colours of summer to the Floral and Nursery Marquee. The Show Gardens are sure to inspire you with the latest planting and design trends and for followers of RTE’s Super Garden, this is where you can see the winners work.
Foodies you are in for a treat. Sample some of the best domestically produced food and beverages on offer in The Food Village and gain some insight into Ireland’s fruit and vegetable industry.
Families – your kids go free. There is great family entertainment at Bloom for Budding Bloomers ranging from educational and craft sessions to fun in the playground and shows by magician Billy Bubbles and fun scientist Scientific Sue. Bring your own picnic and enjoy it in the picnic area around the main stage.
Retail Therapy – Bring home something fabulous for your outdoor space from the Plant Village. Talented designers can be found in the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland area where workshops will be conducted and beautiful handcrafted items will be for sale. From garden machinery to tree houses, The Outdoor Retail area will be home to many leading brands.
A great day out – RTE will have live radio broadcasts running from the show throughout the weekend, while Banter at Bloom will feature a lively series of discussions. Twice daily fashion shows will keep those interested in the latest trends entertained. Top chefs and garden experts will be demonstrating, while the main stage will feature many great Irish and International music artists and acts.
