Mercury Prize nominees playing in Ireland

London-based lyricist Little Simz ran out a deserved winner of this year's prestigious prize with her universally acclaimed fourth album Sometimes I Might Be Introvert.

But…take nothing away from the other Mercury Prize nominees, this year’s accolade was hotly contested by a whole host of the UK & Ireland’s most premium talent, all of whom would have been worthy recipients of the coveted award themselves. A sentiment echoed by the eventual winner. “We all made incredible albums, we all changed people’s lives with our music, and that’s the most important thing”.
