This uplifting, modern classic celebrates the quirks of every family, the potholes in every road, and the power of overcoming our differences.
We went along to the launch of the Vodafone Comedy Festival. With an amazing line-up for 2017, it was no surprise that lots of people turned out to celebrate the 2017 launch. Including some of the talent from this year’s line-up Al Porter, PJ Gallagher and Alison Spittle.
This is the 11th year of the festival and the 7th year that Vodafone has been the main sponsor. Vodafone are delighted to sponsor this event each year, as their aim is to connect people, and this festival gives them the opportunity to connect people through fun and laughter.
Speaking at the event festival director Bren Berry is delighted that the festival is back again. He believes the festival has a great responsibility and opportunity to showcase the extraordinary comedic talents that are emerging in Ireland and abroad. The youth and vibrancy of the Irish comedic scene is brilliant to watch, and it’s a huge thrill to see the successes of the incredible talent.
There was also a prize for anyone who gave the best answer for: Why did the chicken cross the road?
Aoife Savage took home the prize of €1000 and tickets to the festival.
