Elvis is My Daddy Photos & more!

Ahead of opening night on Wednesday 11 May at the Olympia Theatre, Dublin, the cast from Elvis Is My Daddy tell us why they’re delighted to be part of this theatrical musical comedy.

Elvis Is My Daddy

Eilish O’ Carroll – Lana LaVelle
I wanted to play the part of Lana LaVelle as soon as I read the first page.  A singing, dancing, rock ‘n ‘roll Diva in a big new show with an amazing story and the laughter of the audience wafting across the stage like a warm hug.  Come and join the party at the Olympia Theatre

Elvis is My Daddy
Clelia Murphy – Lulabelle LaVelle
When I was a little girl growing up in Dublin and walking past the front doors of the Olympia I never dared to dream that I’d be performing there, never mind singing and dancing in the best new show of the year.  And Lulubelle LaVelle, what a part!  Don’t get me wrong I’m a good girl really, but when I’m bad…I’m better!

Elvis Is My Daddy
Elaine Hearty – Bette-Davis LaVelle
Elvis Is My Daddy is all the reasons I became a performer rolled into one.  I get to sing and dance and as well as writing some great songs with John Murpy the show’s creator. I also get to perform some of the most famous songs ever.  I play Bette-Davis LaVelle, she’s an underdog…and everyone loves an underdog

Mark O’ Regan – Jumbo Johnson
I’ve spent a lifetime in the Theatre and have played some great parts but just when you think you’ve seen it all along comes Elvis Is My Daddy.  I play Jumbo Johnson, an eccentric with a good heart.  It’s a 21st century reboot of our proud history of theatrical musical comedy.  But most of all its just plain hilarious and not to be missed.
