Announced: Meteor Choice Music Prize Winners

Last night (Thursday, 5 March) The Meteor Choice Music Prize live event took place at Vicar Street, Dublin.

The Winner for the Meteor Choice Music Prize Irish Album of the Year was selected by a Judging panel that was made up of Irish music media professionals. Before choosing the winner last night, the judges deliberated at length.
The judges picked the album of the year solely, on the music rather than album sales or airplay.

The judges announced The Gloaming as the winners of the Meteor Choice Music Prize Irish Album of the Year 2014 for the album “The Gloaming“. The band are currently touring in Australia and couldn’t make the live Vicar Street event last night.
